GARETH PUGH FALL/WINTER 2009/10 MEN Pugh unleashes a gothic vision for his first stand alone menswear show. As the last presentation on the Paris calendar all eyes were on the British star to see if he could deliver an important debut. True to his roots, Pugh presented a sharp and graphic future vision for menswear. In his signature black, leather and plastics were moulded into 3-D garments that skimmed the body. Angular shoulders, quilted jackets and frayed denim were key elements to Pugh's dark vision. Like armour hundreds of nails poked from beneath jackets and trousers, for a post apocalyptic world. Pugh's menswear aesthetic will continue to question and push fashion forward. © by SHOWstudio
